These past few months have been challenging to say the least. This painting, along with all the others I've been working on during this time, is a part of an extensive program of self-care and free expression which are helping me to heal on every level possible. My art is a life-saver. It channels and expresses all the goodness and wonder I feel. It transmutes darkness into light.It reflects the best of me, the best of my understanding, the freedom in my heart and soul which the world of Man CANNOT and WILL NOT crush.
I will go on, being 'Brave and Strong and True' and I thank those of you who share this journey with me.
"You must cope with the world (of man) to be free of it", Barry Long once said. That is my work now. Learning finally how to cope, in order to be free. My art, and nature, and love, and trust, are the tools I have in this endeavour...I hope and trust that they (and perhaps even I) can also inspire and support you in some way.
