'Floating, Not Drowning' by Jay Taylor, completed 19th August 2017.
An original artwork created using acrylic paints, collage, Copic markers, Unipin, gel and Posca pens on 5 3/4" x 7 3/4" upcycled card.
Just as much time and love go into creating smaller works as into the larger works in my portfolio. Spontaneously manifesting shapes and forms develop as I paint. Deliberately placed marks and guided formations are intuitively worked and placed.
This colourful mixed media creation is as gorgeous as it is diminutive - it won't take up much space on the wall, but it has huge personality. Its small size makes it ideal for placing on a shelf, table or dresser, and it also looks great in a collection with other small and miniature paintings such as 'We Fall Only To Rise Again' and 'Everything Big Starts Small'.
