This listing is for the hand-painted British pebbles shown in the photographs above, lovingly embellished with unique, spontaneously manifested, meticulously-painted designs. Making a beautiful nature table, altar piece or table centre-piece, the pebbles feature OOAK designs accented meticulously with dots (pointillism) using quality acrylic paints in shades of yellow ochre, white, red, burnt sienna and turquoise. They make a beautiful addition to your home decor, and the perfect special gift for him or her.

"The natural properties of gemstones are widely acknowledged amongst both the spiritually and scientifically inclined, but how many people realise how extraordinarily characterful 'ordinary' stones are? "Working with the pebbles and stones that I find in the streets and fields around me, I am amazed by how energetically charged they are. Unlike a 'blank canvas', even the plainest-looking stone is certainly NOT a blank: rather, it is alive, vibrant and full of information. Painting designs in harmony with their natural qualities and ‘lines of growth’ is a thoroughly absorbing activity, requiring a balanced combination of patience, precision and spontaneity. This open, mindful, creative state, combined with the energy of the individual stone, carries a natural vibration which can be felt in your hand and used for meditation, healing, or pure appreciation and enjoyment... "My work is the art of co-creation: each pebble crafted over millions of years by Life itself, and reverently gifted with an artisan design created lovingly in harmony with its natural beauty. PLEASE READ:
CARE: Painted with high-quality, hard-wearing acrylics, I do not usually apply varnish unless specifically asked to do so by collectors, as I do so enjoy the natural 'feel' of the stones I paint. So by all means handle your stones gently, but remember to keep them dry: prolonged exposure to water, or excessive, rough handling, will eventually wear away the painted design. I recommend cleaning with a soft cloth, made slightly damp if necessary.
COMMUNICATION: One of my very favourite things about being a self-representing artist is the pleasure of communicating direct with collectors of my art. I always respond to communications as quickly as I can, so feel free to ask me questions: I'll happily provide extra information or further details.
