Working with the pebbles and stones that I find in the streets and fields around me, I am amazed by how energetically charged they are. Every stone is unique; each has its own 'song'.
Unlike a 'blank canvas', even the plainest-looking stone is certainly NOT a blank: rather, it is alive, vibrant and full of information. Painting designs to accent and enhance their natural qualities and ‘lines of growth’ is a thoroughly absorbing activity, requiring a balanced combination of focus, precision and spontaneity. Working in this harmonious, way is a gateway into a timeless, in-flow state which truly brings me great joy.
