Hand-painted stones in their own hand made up-cycled paper box, direct from the studio of British artist Jay Taylor. This beautiful collectors' 'family' is entirely individually created and totally unique...
This listing is for the hand-painted British pebbles shown in the photographs above, lovingly embellished with unique, spontaneously manifested, meticulously-painted designs. Making a beautiful nature table quartet, altarpiece or table centre-piece, the pebbles are accented meticulously with dots (pointillism) using quality acrylic paints in shades of turquoise blue, red, brown and white. They are perfect for use as gratitude rocks or for sharing with loved ones or special friends. All three tiny pebbles feature a love heart design, each different but co-ordinating.
This sweet little threesome is a one of a kind creation: never again to be repeated, and emerging purely in the moment of creation. An inherent part of my creative process is the space and the absolute focus I create around my work; the entirely spontaneous nature of my working approach means that each and every pebble and stone is a singular, unrepeatable moment in time, captured just for you...
This beautiful British pebble family is a delight to handle, bringing reassuring warmth to your surroundings, offering a constant reminder of nature and of source every time you make contact with these beautiful, vibrant, grounding objects.
My catalogue number for this unique stone family is SIS170329Jx3

"The natural properties of gemstones are widely acknowledged amongst both the spiritually and scientifically inclined, but how many people realise how extraordinarily characterful 'ordinary' stones are?
"Working with the pebbles and stones that I find in the streets and fields around me, I am amazed by how energetically charged they are. Unlike a 'blank canvas', even the plainest-looking stone is certainly NOT a blank: rather, it is alive, vibrant and full of information. Painting designs in harmony with their natural qualities and ‘lines of growth’ is a thoroughly absorbing activity, requiring a balanced combination of patience, precision and spontaneity. This open, mindful, creative state, combined with the energy of the individual stone, carries a natural vibration which can be felt in your hand and used for meditation, healing, or pure appreciation and enjoyment...
"My work is the art of co-creation: each pebble crafted over millions of years by Life itself, and reverently gifted with an artisan design created lovingly in harmony with its natural beauty. Every single one has a distinct personality, a unique purpose, and is meant for a truly unique individual..." - Jay

CARE: Painted with high-quality, hard-wearing acrylics, I do not usually apply varnish unless specifically asked to do so by collectors, as I do so enjoy the natural 'feel' of the stones I paint. It's absolutely fine to handle your stones gently, but remember to keep them dry: prolonged exposure to water, or excessive, rough handling, will eventually wear away the painted design. I recommend cleaning with a soft cloth, made slightly damp if necessary.
